What is baptism?

Here at Eastpoint Church, we go public with our faith! When we put our faith in Jesus, we announce that inward decision through water baptism. Why?

Because Jesus said that the first step of becoming His disciple is baptism. (Matthew 28:19)

In the early church, when someone surrendered their life to Jesus in the early church they were instructed to be baptized. (Acts 2:38)

We ask anyone who is interested in getting baptized at Eastpoint to join us for a Baptism Class, where we talk through the heart of the gospel and what baptism means according to scripture. It’s a time to share your story, ask honest questions, and explore how God is at work in your life.
